Hi Dave, Thank you so much for taking the time to leave a review — we truly appreciate your feedback. We didn’t choose galvanised fasteners because they can react with aluminium. While stainless steel is an option, it is significantly more expensive and can seize if anti-seize is not used, making removal very difficult if required in the future. Cadmium-plated fasteners, on the other hand, perform very well for corrosion resistance in this application, and they successfully passed our failure mode testing. For these reasons, we selected cadmium as the most suitable solution.
